Courage Under Fire filly Priscilla Rocks is peaking at just the right time for the upcoming Western Australian Oaks after winning the first of the Preludes at Gloucester Park on Friday.

Easily holding the lead from barrier one Priscilla Rocks slowed the tempo through the middle stages of the 2536m race before sprinting home in the straight to take a two length victory over leading Oaks fancy Justlikechocolate (Live Or Die) at her first outing in a month.

A Group One place-getter last season as a juvenile, Priscilla Rocks has now won six of her 15 lifetime starts for just over $80,000 in stakes.

Priscilla Rocks is the best-performed foal to date of Preux Chevalier mare Graceland.

Back in NZ the 2yo Bruce Negus trained colt Coastal was super impressive at Gore on Sunday, winning the Caduceus Club Of Southland Mobile Pace by a whopping five and a half lengths, the 4yo gelding Omaha Beach recorded his third lifetime win at the same venue and at Addington the much improved mare Streets On Fire made it two wins in a row when taking out the last on the card.
