Outstanding 3yo Continentalman filly Mystic Hush made it a clean sweep of all three Australian Trotting Oaks when she was untroubled to win the $50,000 Group 1 Victoria Trotters Oaks at Moonee Valley on Friday evening, becoming the first filly ever to complete the prestigious treble.
A winner of the SA and NSW Oaks at her last two starts, Mystic Hush and trainer/driver Kerryn Manning soon assumed control of the classic and once in front were never headed, crossing the line 2.2m ahead of Gluteus Maximus (Dream Vacation), once again her nearest rival.
Clearly the best of her age group, Mystic Hush has now won five of her 24 lifetime starts, placing in a further eight, for just under $67,000 in stakes money. She also picked up a $15,000 bonus just for going round on Friday, with the bonus paid out to any horse that competed in all three Oaks and won two.
Mystic Hush, the second foal of NZ bred mare Kindava Hush, is the third stakes winner in recent seasons bred on a Continentalman – Sundon cross.
