The Tony Herlihy trained Symphony In Motion was a class above his rivals in the $48,750 Listed PGG Wrightson Yearling Sales Series 2YO NHT Final (2,200m) at Alexandra Park on Friday evening, crossing the line almost seven lengths clear of his opposition.
The talented colt found the lead with ease from barrier three and once in front looked to have the race in his safe-keeping. A brilliant final quarter of 27.4 saw him skip away in the straight and coast to an ever-increasing six and three-quarter length victory over Kid Galahad and Crazy Mach.
It was Symphony In Motion's second win from just three starts, taking his earnings to $37,034.
Bred by Woodlands Stud, Symphony In Motion is out of the eight-win In The Pocket mare Pacing Grace, the dam also of last season's Group 1 NZ Welcome Stakes runner-up Amazing Art (6 wins, $73,267), also by Artsplace.
