Last season's champion 2yo pacer assumed control of the race at the half-way point and never looked in any danger of losing, coasting to a three-quarter length victory over Powerful Mist in a time of 1:50 flat for the mile.
It was the James Dean trained pacer's ninth career win, with Saturday's prize-money boosting his earnings from just 15 starts to a stellar US$1,279,924.
The prestigious US$1 million Meadowlands Pace Final will be contested on July 16 (US time).
It was a good day for Big Jim's sire Western Ideal with his son I Fought Dalaw leading home a Western Ideal sired trifecta in one of the 2YO Colts and Geldings New Jersey Sires Stakes heats, and the progeny of Western Ideal's champion sire son Rocknroll Hanover taking out the remaining two heats, Pet Rock and Time To Rock.
The previous day Western Ideal sired two out of the three winners of the 2YO Fillies New Jersey Sires Stakes heats in Notreadytobenice and Pirouette Hanover.
