The 2yo colt Concert Ticket became Lis Mara's fifth 1:55 performer when winning a $24,000 Ontario Sires Stakes race at Flamboro Downs in a time of 1:54.4 over the weekend.

Driven by leading Canadian reinsman Jody Jamieson, Concert Ticket got the better of the pace-making Retail to score by three-quarters of a length at the line.

Concert Ticket is out of the Western Hanover mare Western Concert.

Lis Mara is the sire of 15 individual Northern Hemisphere winners to date with progeny earnings of $360,000.

Reports have also been very encouraging from Australasian trainers with some tipping their Lis Mara 2yo's as their most exciting prospects for the season ahead. His two Ready To Run Sale entrants, both fillies, put in nice performances at the Ready To Run Trials last Monday, with the pair of them both recording sub 58.1 halves and Lot 60 recording one of the fastest quarters of the day, coming home in 27.8 seconds.

His two sales entrants are Lot 38 (58.1; 28.1) out of Lonnie Franco, from family of recent Australasian Breeders Crown winner Lilac Stride, and Lot 60 (57.8; 27.8) out of Strathhavon, a half-sister to three time Group 1 winner Lanercost.
