Three wide for much of the last lap, Twist And Twirl was simply too good for her rivals, powering past the leaders in the straight to score by one and a quarter lengths from Cheer The Lady in a mile rate of 1:59.9.
The runner-up in the Group 2 Ladyship Stakes the previous week, Twist And Twirl has now won two of her four starts to date and close to $30,000 in stakes-money.
The talented Artsplace filly looks likely to start one of the favourites for the Group 1 Final on New Year's Eve.
Bred and owned by Breckon Bloodstock Ltd, Twist And Twirl is out of the Jenna's Beach Boy mare Giveitawhirlgirl, a daughter of the brilliantly fast filly Impish. Giveitawhirlgirl's first three foals are all winners, with Twist And Twirl's full brother Feels Like Magic also victorious over the weekend, notching up his 10th career win and passing $100,000 in prize-money when scoring at Menangle on Saturday evening.
