Nevele R sired horses scoop awards

As expected the progeny of a number of Nevele R stallions claimed divisional honours at Saturday night's Harness Racing Awards Dinner.

Brilliant Falcon Seelster filly De Lovely was unsurprisingly a unanimous winner of the Ice Bloodstock 3YO Pacing Filly of the Year award after a season in which she won the Group 1 NZ Oaks, Group 1 3YO Diamond, the Group 1 Australian Oaks and the Group 2 Ladyship Stakes.

Outstanding Badlands Hanover mare Beaudiene Bad Babe was just as decisive a winner of the Nevele R Stud 4YO Pacing Mare of the Year title, after winning eight of her 13 starts in the 2009/10 season including the Group 1 4YO Diamond and the Group 2 Canterbury Premier Mares Championship.

The Auckland Trotting Club 4YO Pacing Entire of Gelding award went to fellow Harness Jewels winner in Tintin In America with the Geoff Small trained son of McArdle also taking out the Group 1 Messenger Championship in record time, as well as claiming the Group 2 Cambridge Futurity Stakes and the Group 3 Kumeu Stakes and finishing runner-up to the Horse of the Year Monkey King in the Auckland Cup.

The Muscles Yankee gelding I Can Doosit was also a dominant winner of his division, the Stallion Station 4YO Trotting Entire or Gelding on the back of victories in the Group 1 4YO Ruby, Group 3 4YO Trotters Championship and the Listed Greenlane Cup.
