Artsplace colt grabs another feature race
Unbeaten Artsplace colt Guaranteed added another feature race to his growing tally, taking out the $40,000 Group 3 Allied Express Rod Fitzpatrick Memorial (1,609m) at Tabcorp Park, Menangle on Saturday evening.
The Emma Stuart trained 2yo blazed to the lead from barrier six and always looked to be travelling like the winner, holding off the fast finishing No Ah Saint to score by 1.8m at the line in a slick time of 1:55.8 for the mile.
It was the beautifully bred colt's third win from as many starts with the talented youngster having claimed the Youthful Stakes at his previous start.
Guaranteed is the second foal of former outstanding mare Jadah Rose, the winner of 31 races and $465,424.
In NZ the Artsplace filly Carpenters Daughter was a comfortable winner of a Nevele R Fillies Series Heat at Alexandra Park.
She will join another daughter of Artsplace, the dual Group 1 winning Twist And Twirl, in the $150,000 Nevele R Fillies Final at Addington Raceway on May 12.
