Forty Seven Flash takes out Southern Cross Final
Talented P-Forty Seven 3yo Forty Seven Flash obliterated his rivals in the $54,000 Group 2 Southern Cross 3YO Colts and Geldings Final (2,230m) at Globe Derby on Saturday evening in a performance that had to be seen to be believed.
Despite sitting three-wide without cover for the last 1,000m Forty Seven Flash was able to kick clear on entering the straight the final time and draw ever further away from his rivals, crossing the line 22m clear of Dilinger Lad.
The Barry Finnis trained pacer has won nine of his 16 starts to date and earned just over $73,000.
Forty Seven Flash is the second foal of the two-win Beach Towel mare Surfing Queen.
