At two, McArdle won 7 races & $222,438, incl. the Reynolds Stk, $189,000 Matron Stk (div & Final), 3x NJ Sires Stk at Freehold incl. $50,000 & $75,000 legs.
At three, McArdle won $1,382,949 & 14 races. His wins incl. the $500,000 New Jersey Classic, beating Royal Mattjesty & Mach Three at the Meadowlands in 1:50.2 & the $141,000 Oliver Wendell Holmes at the Meadowlands in 1:49, beating Art Major. He won a $74,500 Little Brown Jug Preview at Scioto Downs in 1:52.4, the $90,000 Bluegrass Stk at Lexington in 1:51.8 & followed up a week later with victory in the $172,000 Tattersall’s Stk. McArdle also won his elim of the Breeders’ Crown (beating Mach Three), a div of the Hoosier Cup & finished second in the $500,000 Breeders’ Crown Final (to Art Major), $1,000,000 Meadowlands Pace Final, $450,000 Hoosier Cup Final & the $335,000 Progress Pace Final. He was named New Jersey's Standardbred of the Year.
At four, McArdle emulated his sire Falcon Seelster & dazzled the crowd on Little Brown Jug Day when winning the $113,000 Magical Mike in stunning fashion - by 9 L in 1:50.6 - in a time two seconds faster than the Jug itself! Other highlights of his season incl. winning the $650,000 Haughton Memorial Final in 1:50 (beating Art Major) & in the process becoming Harness Racing’s newest double millionaire. He also finished second in the $540,000 Breeders’ Crown Final to Art Major (wnr in 1:49.8).
McArdle paced the fastest last 1/4 ever at the Meadowlands - 25.4 - when he won 1:49.8.
