As a 2YO Muscles Yankee won the Champlain, Bluegrass and International Stallion Stakes, as well as the Ohio Standardbred Stakes & elims of the Breeders Crown & Valley Victory Trot.
The next year as a 3YO, Muscles Yankee was the Leading Money Winning Horse in North America, became the 2nd Fastest Trotting Colt in history & was voted 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year. In a stellar season he swept the Hambletonian Stakes, Yonkers Trot and the Breeders Crown Final, as well as an elim & Final of the Beacon Course Trot & the Transylvania Trot. He also placed second in the Historic Stakes & was third in his heat of the Kentucky Futurity.
