At three, Red River Hanover won 9 races & over $Can1 million. His major victory was the $Can1.5 million North American Cup, when he beat Mach Three & McArdle & paced a Canadian Age-Group record of 1:48.8. His time was just 1/5th of a second outside the All-Age mark. At the Hippodrome De Montreal, he paced a track record 1:50.8 to win the $315,914 Prix d’Montreal by 4 lengths. Red River Hanover also won the $63,000 Burlington Stk by five lengths in 1:50.8, Meadowlands Pace Consolation, elim of American National Stk & PA Sires Stk. He finished 3rd in an elim of the Breeders Crown.
