The New Zealand bred mare Aardie B Miki maintained her unbeaten status in North America when taking out the $490,000 Grade 1 Blue Chip Matchmaker Final at Yonkers Raceway over the weekend.

In a race where the lead changed numerous times through the first quarter, Aardie B Miki found herself boxed in on the leaders back but was able to extricate herself off the rail rounding the home turn and draw clear to win by a length and a quarter.

Five from five now in the US, the Queensland Oaks winning 4-year-old daughter of Always B Miki has won 14 races overall and US$345,000 in stakes to go along with her previous Australasian earnings of $228,317.

Bred and raced by Canadian Mike Tanev, Aardie B Miki is out of the Rocknroll Hanover mare Tatijana Bromac.
