Always B Miki filly the real deal

The Brett Gray trained Miki’s Deal made it back-to-back Group Race wins when taking out the Group 2 Bionic Chance 2YO Fillies Bracelet at Addington Raceway on Friday night.
An upset winner of the Group 2 2YO Fillies Southern Classic on debut last month, Miki’s Deal was backed in late to start second favourite this time round, and certainly justified the support with a dominant win.
The southern filly trailed early before coming off the markers when Cool For Cats took over the lead with a round to go.
Racing parked for the last lap, Miki’s Deal found the front with 600m left to run and resolutely kept the challengers at bay in the straight to score by a length and a quarter from Treacherous Me and Ideal Crown.
The daughter of Always B Miki is undefeated in two race day starts now and has picked up $77,000 in stakes earnings to date.
Bred and raced by Marty Fairbairn, Miki’s Deal is out of the four-win Bettor’s Delight mare Delightful Deal, a close relative to the former Queensland Derby winner Best Deal Yet.
It was a good weekend on both sides of the Tasman for Always B Miki, with his 4-year-old Australian bred daughter Tick A Loch claiming the $100,000 Listed Riverina Regional Championship Final at Riverina Paceway at Wagga on Friday afternoon.
It was her eighth career win and it took her earnings to $128,205.
Bred and raced by Lance Cobban, Tick A Loch is out of the stakes placed Christian Cullen mare Timely Loch.
