Daughter of Captain Crunch wins Gr.2 Westbred Classic

Its Maa Time is the latest stakes winner for exciting young sire Captain Crunch after taking out the Group 2, $100,000 Westbred 3YO Fillies Classic Final at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

The Adian De Campo trained and driven filly led from go to whoa in the 2,130m feature, holding the fast finishing race favourite Fakenit at bay in the straight to score by three-quarters of a length at the line.

The winner of the APG Sales Classic earlier in the year, Its Maa Time has now won seven races from 13 starts and banked $164,201 in stakes earnings.

She is out the Group 3 winning Blissfull Hall mare Maastricht, making her Captain Crunch’s eighth stakes performer down-under from a daughter of a Cam Fella line stallion (Bettor’s Delight, Washington VC, Presidential Ball, Roll With Joe, Betting Line, Four Starzzz Shark Betterthancheddar, Northern Luck, Blissfull Hall, Artistic Fella etc…)
