Vincent mare too good in Addington Group 2 feature

The Mark Jones trained Francent was a classy winner of the Group 2 Mares Spring Sprint Classic at just her first attempt in stakes company at Addington on Friday night.
Taking on a vastly more experienced field, that included six stakes winners, Francent emerged a dominant winner of the $60,000 feature, dashing up the passing lane to score going away by one and three-quarter lengths from Ruby Roe and Mantra Blue.
It was the 4-year-old’s seventh career win and took her earnings to $107,930.
By Vincent, Francent is out of the unraced Courage Under Fire mare Mary Niven.
Standing at NZ$3,000 + GST this season, Vincent is Harness 5000 eligible and is one of the few pacing sires at that price point to have consistently produced stakes winners in New Zealand in the past few seasons, with him having left the likes of Shezsofast, Vessem, Sherlock, Vinke B, Wish Me Luck, Bronson and now Francent.
