First stakes winner for Captain Crunch
Captain Crunch has notched up his first Southern Hemisphere stakes winner!
The Kat Warwick trained Sebastian James led throughout to take out the Group 2 $100,000 2YO Pearl Classic at Gloucester Park on Friday night.
The highly promising colt has now won his last four starts in a row and banked $92,711 in stakes earnings.
Bred by Steve Johnson, Sebastian James is out of the unraced Artesian mare Nina Sue – a full sister to the multiple Group 1 winner and millionaire pacer David Hercules.
Captain Crunch is off to a terrific start with his first Australasian crop with the Breeders Crown and North America Cup winning son of Captaintreacherous already the sire of 19 individual 2-year-old winners to date this season and seven stakes performers.
