First winners for Lazarus

Lazarus is on the board as a sire, with the champion pacer represented by his first North American winners at the Meadowlands on Friday (US time).
His first winner Fox Valley Adele, put in a professional performance on debut to lead all the way in the first leg of the New Jersey Sires Stakes (NJSS) for 2-year-old pacing fillies.
The Erv Miller trained filly kicked clear in the straight to score by a length in a time of 1:53.2.
His next winner, two races later, was the smart Jim King Jr trained colt Lifes A Puzzle, who won the sole NJSS leg for colts and geldings very impressively in 1:50.8 – the fastest time record by a 2-year-old to date in North America this year.
Both winners are out of Somebeachsomewhere mares, Fox Valley Adele out of Put On A Display, a grand-daughter of the legendary Hall Of Fame broodmare Rich N Elegant; and Lifes A Puzzle out of the stakes winning L Dees Lioness.
