Mighty Logan stakes his claim in the Worthy Queen

The Robert and Jenna Dunn trained Mighty Logan threw down the gauntlet to the established stars of New Zealand trotting ahead of November’s Dominion Trot, with an impressive win in the Group 3 Worthy Queen Trot at Addington on Friday night.
Used at both ends of the race, the 6-year-old son of Creatine began brilliantly from his 10m handicap, storming to the lead before handing up to One Over All, and despite the near record pace, was still able to go again from the top of the straight, charging home to hold out stablemate I Dream Of Jeannie and the big guns Muscle Mountain and Oscar Bonavena.
Mighty Logan’s winning time of 2:28.4 was just 0.1 of a second outside of Muscle Mountain’s 2022 national record for the 2000m from a standing start.
A Group 1 winner in the Autumn and second to the reigning New Zealand Horse and Trotter of the Year Just Believe in last season’s Dominion Trot, Mighty Logan has now won 10 races and $263,866 in stakes earnings.
Bred and raced by siblings Barry and Diane Clark, Mighty Logan is out of the Sierra Kosmos mare Landora’s Siesta.
Creatine’s frozen semen is available in New Zealand this season at $3,000 + GST, making his progeny eligible for the new Harness 5000 Series.
The stud also has a special multiple mare offer for him this season, with each additional mare to him after the first receiving a 50% discount on the service fee, which can also be combined with mares to Marcoola.
