Mighty Logan strong-arms rivals in the Anzac Cup

The Robert and Jenna Dunn trained Mighty Logan was a superb front running winner of the $100,000, Group 1 H R Fisken & Sons ANZAC Cup at Alexandra Park on Friday night.
The 6-year-old son of Creatine stepped safely from his front row draw and headed straight to the lead.
Trotting boldly in front, he looked the winner a long way out from home when drawing clear by three lengths in the back straight, and eventually kicked out to an untroubled four length win over Mr Love, with a further length back to One Over All.
Runner-up to the champion trotter Just Believe in the Group 1 Dominion Handicap last November, and with numerous other stakes race placings under his belt, Mighty Logan has now won nine races and $233,461 in stakes earnings.
Bred and raced by Barry Clark and his sister Diane Clark, he is out of the unraced Sierra Kosmos mare Landora’s Siesta, a descendant of the Dominion Handicap and Rowe Cup winner Landora’s Pride.
It was a great night for Creatine at Alexandra Park on Friday, with his stakes winning daughters Faith In Manchester and Walkinonsunshine also quinellaring an earlier trot race on the card.
It was Faith In Manchester’s 12th career win and saw her surpass $250,000 in lifetime earnings.
Bred and raced by Heather and Russell Steel, Faith In Manchester is out of the Group 3 winning Earl mare Manchester Lass.
The previous weekend’s Alexandra Park meeting also saw another smart winner by Creatine in Redpark Warrior, who won the first heat of the Young Guns 2YO Trot Series by an impressive five and a quarter lengths.
