The Janitor sizzles in Miracle Mile qualifier
The Chantal Turpin trained Always B Miki 5-year-old, The Janitor, was a stunning winner of the second of the Miracle Mile qualifiers, the Group 2 Bioworma Sprint, at Menangle on Saturday night.
Fresh up since finishing third in the Group 1 Blacks A Fake Queensland Championship back in December, The Janitor roared home from near last to down a gallant Swayzee by a neck in a career best time of 1:49.3.
It was the 18th career win for the emerging star, and took his earnings to $336,577.
Bred by Lester Smith, The Janitor is out of the Badlands Hanover mare Weka Lass, a daughter of the former Chariots Of Fire and Queensland Derby winner Oaxaca Lass.
Always B Miki will have two starters in this weekend’s $1 million Miracle Mile with Kingman being granted a wild card entry.
