Vincent won his only start as a 2-year-old, defeating subsequent NZ 3YO Pacing Colt of the Year Ultimate Machete, before injury curtailed his season.

As a 3-year-old Vincent was awesome - he was unplaced just the once (and that the result of pulling a flat sulky tyre when a raging hot favourite in the Victoria Derby), winning 12 of his 15 starts that season. His wins included the Gr.1 NZ Derby,  (in a NZ record time) Gr.1 NSW Derby (in which he was 0.1 of a second outside of the world record for 2400m) and the Gr.1 NSW Breeders Challenge Final in an Australasian 3YO record of 1:50.2. With his other wins including heats of both the Victoria and NSW Derbies and a heat and semi-final of the NSW Breeders Challenge Vincent was crowned the 2017 Australian 3YO Pacing Colt of the Year.

Unbeaten at four, Vincent won all three starts - the Gr.1 Auckland Cup at just his first Grand Circuit start, the Gr.2 Franklin Cup (in a near national record fresh up) and the Gr.2 Futurity Stakes - and looked set for Harness Racing super-stardom before injury prematurely brought to a close a dazzling but all too brief career.

HYPOTHETICAL MATING

Mating Hints

As a son of Art Major, Vincent suits much of the Australasian broodmare population, in particular Western Hanover, Cam Fella and Direct Scooter line mares.

Already, with Vincent’s oldest crop 5-year-olds in 2025, it is clear that he has an affinity with mares from the Western Hanover sire line (Western Ideal, American Ideal, Rocknroll Hanover, Rock N Roll Heaven, Red River Hanover, Badlands Hanover, Jeremes Jet, Shadow Play, Terror To Love) with this cross producing the likes of the Group 1 winner Shezsofast and fellow 2025 juvenile Group 1 performer Pure Grunt, along with numerous other stakes performers (Sherlock, Our Vinnie, Vinette, Ignite The Fire, Seve, Hammer Dan etc…)

Cam Fella line (Bettor’s Delight, Presidential Ball, Washington VC, Roll With Joe, Betterthancheddar, Four Starzzz Shark, Blissful Hall, Armbro Operative, Pacific Fella, Betting Line, Gold Ace) mares are also proving a smart option for Vincent, with this cross resulting in some of his richest progeny to date including the multiple stakes winner Vessam, Swiatek Leis, Vinke B, Thesunandthemoon, Staroftheshow etc…

Daughters of Direct Scooter line stallions (In The PocketCaptaintreacherous, Christian CullenCourage Under FireDownbytheseaside, Mach ThreeSomebeachsomewhere) are also a good match for Vincent with this combination producing the Group 1 winner Reinette, along with a number of other good types – Our Vincent Can Gogh, Thelittlemaster, Acushla Machree, Greased Lightnin, Bronson etc…
