The Always B Miki colt Newsroom made it five wins from five starts when taking out the $150,000 New Jersey Classic Final for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings.

The Joe Holloway trained juvenile was simply a class above his rivals, trouncing the recent New Jersey Sires Stakes Final place-getter Wish You Well by five and three-quarter lengths.

His winning time of 1:49.8 is the fastest time recorded by a 2-year-old male pacer in North America this year.

Newsroomʻs five wins to date have netted him $115,775 in stakes earnings.

Sold for $30,000 at last yearʻs Harrisburg Yearling Sale, Newsroom is out of the Well Said mare Well Hello There.

Always B Mikiʻs daughters were also to the fore over the weekend, with last seasonʻs US and Canadian 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year Sylvia Hanover making it win number 15 in the Simcoe Stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park and Horizontal scorching to a 1:48.8 victory at the Red Mile in a leg of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series.

She is the fourth 3-year-old filly by Always B Miki to record a sub 1:49 time this year, with the others the stakes winning trio of Strong Poison (1:48), Sylvia Hanover (1:48.4) and Always B Naughty (1:48.4).
