The Jimmy Takter trained A Rocknroll Dance colt Grand Teton maintained his unbeaten record with a strong win in a leg of the Kindergarten Classic Series for 2-year-old colts and geldings at The Meadowlands on July 21 (US time).

The race favourite settled in fourth spot on the running rail before sprinting home powerfully in the straight to score by a length and a quarter from Odds On Lauderdale.

Grand Teton's winning time of 1:52.2 was the fourth fastest recorded by a 2-year-old pacer in North America to date this year.

He is the winner of both his race day starts to date, having earlier taken out a $20,000 division of the Pennsylvania Stallion Series at Harrahs Philadelphia.

Out of the Western Hanover mare Western Montana, the regally bred youngster has a lot to live up to being the half brother to champion filly Pure Country - the winner of close to $2 million in stakes to date.
