Aardieʻs Express was an impressive winner of the Group 3 Caduceus Club Northern Breeders Stakes at Alexandra Park on Friday night.

The talented four-year-old daughter of Always B Miki overcame a tough draw and run to get the better of Lady Of The Light in the final stride.

Starting from the outside of the front row, Aardieʻs Express spent the early part of the race at the tail of the field before working her way up to sit parked for the last lap.

With the pace on over the last quarter, Aardieʻs Express slowly but surely wore down the race leader Lady Of The Light, nabbing her on the line to score by a head.

It was the Steve and Amanda Telfer trained mareʻs 13th win from 18 starts and took her career earnings to $190,689.

Bred by Bromac Lodge Limited and Slingsby Holdings Pty Ltd, Aardieʻs Express is out the Group 1 placed Rocknroll Hanover mare Tatijana Bromac.

The full brother to Aardieʻs Express was also victorious over the weekend, with the Chantal Turpin trained Aardieʻs Flash winning at Albion Park on Saturday night.

The three-year-old gelding has now won eight races and $124,104 in stakes.
