Sylvia Hanover cemented herself as the best 2-year-old pacing filly in North America this year with a dominant victory in the $810,000 Breeders Crown Final at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday (Canadian time).

Third on the rails at the quarter pole, Sylvia Hanover moved up to the take the lead before being headed by both Charleston and Strong Poison.

Hemmed in through the third quarter, reinsman Bob McClure was able to angle her off the rail rounding the home turn and she quickly collared the leading pair to win going away by a length and a quarter in 1:51.2.

It was her seventh consecutive win and her eighth from nine starts this season.

The daughter of Always B Miki has now earned $903,300 in stakes money.

Bred by Hanover Shoe Farms, Sylvia Hanover is out of the Artiscape mare Shyaway, making her a half-sister to the $2 million earning pacer Western Fame.

Fellow Always B Miki filly Strong Poison finished third.
