Always B Miki filly too good in Redcliffe Oaks

The Always B Miki filly Cheer Leader stormed home late to take out the Group 3 Redcliffe Oaks on Saturday night.
Three back on the inside for the majority of the 2,280m trip, Cheer Leader was eased out at the 400m mark and sprinted home strongly to defeat the multiple Group 1 winning filly Melody Jewel by a length and a half.
It was the Grant Dixon trained fillyʻs eighth win, her second stakes victory, and took her earnings to $97,249.
Bred and raced by Solid Earth Pty Ltd, Cheer Leader is out of the stakes winning Mach Three mare Cherish The Moment.
It was almost a stakes double for Always B Miki at the meeting with Aardies Flash just going down by a nose to Rocknroll Hammer in the Redcliffe Derby earlier in the evening.
