Always B Miki has sired his first race-day winner, with the 2-year-old colt Billy Clyde proving too good on debut at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on June 23 (US time).

The Ray Schnittker trained youngster moved to the lead past the quarter pole and although headed briefly in the straight fought back strongly to score by a length at the line in a time of 1:55.8 for the mile.

Billy Clyde is out of the $200,000 plus earning Badlands Hanover mare Jan It Jackson and is a half-brother to the 2018 Metro Pace runner-up Semi Tough (1:50.6 $559,905).

With 12 qualifying race winners already (second only to Somebeachsomewhere) Always B Miki looks in for a big season ahead with his debut crop.
