Always B Mikiʻs millionaire daughters continue their winning ways

Always B Mikiʻs champion daughters Sylvia Hanover and Grace Hill were in stakes winning form once again over the weekend, with the former too good in her Bluegrass Stakes division at The Red Mile and Grace Hill taking out the Dayton Distaff Derby at Dayton Raceway.

Sylvia Hanover notched up her 16th win in 19 starts in an $80,000 Bluegrass Stakes division, with a comfortable one and a quarter length victory in a new lifetime mark of 1:48.2.

It was her fourth sub 1:49 win this season.

Out of an Artiscape mare, Sylvia Hanover has now won $1,378,925 in stakes money.

Grace Hill maintained her number one ranking as the best aged pacing mare in North America with a powerful performance to hold out Prohibition Legal in the $242,500 Dayton Distaff Derby, scoring by a margin of half a length in 1:49.4.

It was her ninth win of the season and takes her earnings for 2023 to $602,526 – making her the highest earning aged pacing mare for the year and the second richest aged pacer overall behind only Tattoo Artist.

Grace Hill is the winner of 28 races and over $1.8 million in stakes.

She is out of the Western Terror mare Western Silk.
