Big Wheels became A Rocknroll Dance’s latest 2-year-old stakes winner with a tough front-running performance in the Listed QBred Breeders Classic 2YO Colts & Geldings Final at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

Rated perfectly, the Chantal Turpin trained and driven gelding led from start to finish and held out fast closing stablemate Justa Little Bit to score by 1.1m in a tidy mile rate of 1:56.8 for the 1660m trip.

Bred and raced by New South Wale’s John Polson, Big Wheels is out of the nine-win Washington VC mare Washington Lass and has now won two of six starts and placed in a further three since his debut a little over a month ago.

Big Wheel’s full brother, the five-win Blacksadance, also featured in the QBred Finals on Saturday night, finishing fourth to the Victoria Derby runner-up Governor Jujon in the Group 2 QBred Triad Final for 3YO Colts and Geldings.
