It was an extraordinary weekend of results in North America for Always B Miki, with the second season stallion siring an incredible three out of the four age group Breeders Crown winners at The Meadowlands.

He joins siring great Somebeachsomewhere as the only other pacing stallion to do so in the same year.

Friday night saw the Always B Miki pair Niki Hill and Monte Miki sweep the 2-year-old Breeders Crown events.

Niki Hill put her rivals away with ease in the $600,000 Fillies Final.

Parked to the first turn she brushed to the lead before clearing out to a dominant four and three-quarters length win in the straight.

It was her seventh win from eight starts, making her the richest juvenile pacing filly of 2021, with earnings of $628,314.

Monte Miki then displayed plenty of heart and grit to win the 2-year-old colts and geldings final, with the Always B Miki colt clearly headed in the straight but fighting back determinedly to win by a nose on the line.

Like Niki Hill, the Metro Pace winner Monte Miki has only tasted defeat once, with a record now of six wins from seven starts.

With seasonal earnings of $665,276, he is North America’s richest overall 2-year-old pacer this year.

On Saturday Perfect Sting made it back-to-back Breeders Crown wins with victory in the 3-year-old colts and geldings final, making him the first male pacer to win successive Crowns at the ages of two and three since Artiscape in 1997/98.

It was a much deserved win for the reigning US 2YO Pacer of the Year, with the Joe Holloway trained colt having never finished out of the top three in 2021, including runner-up finishes in the North America Cup,  Meadowlands Pace and the Little Brown Jug.

Perfect Sting is the winner of 17 races and more than $1.8 million in stakes.

With year to date winnings of $1,273,847 no horse has earned more than Perfect Sting in North America in 2021.
