The first crop progeny of Captain Crunch was to the fore in the latest round of the competitive Pennsylvania Sires Stakes Series, with his 2yoʻs taking out two of the four Sires Stakes divisions for colts and geldings contested at Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.

In the second of the divisions the Captain Crunch colt Gem Quality sprinted home the best to win in 1:51.8.

A homebred, Gem Quality remains unbeaten in two starts to date.

He is the first foal of the Bettorʻs Delight mare Twinkle, the winner of over $300,000 on the track.

In the next division, it was Captain Crunchʻs son Captain Fear Not that scored by a neck in 1:53 flat.

It was Captain Fear Notʻs second consecutive Sires Stakes division win and took his earnings to $54,228.

A $45,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale purchase, Captain Fear Not is out of the Ponder mare Mikalya Rose.

Captain Crunch was also represented by the Stallion Series division winner Syed Ali K on the same card and the Sires Stakes division place-getter T H Tyson, with the former out of a Bettorʻs Delight mare and the latter a Sportswriter mare.
