Creatine not shuttling in 2022

Nevele R Stud wishes to advise breeders that unfortunately Creatine will not be shuttling to New Zealand this coming breeding season.

Fully booked in North America this year, Creatine has aggravated an old injury that prevented him from shuttling back in 2019.

In the best interests of the horse, and on the advice of several veterinary experts, Diamond Creek Farm has made the decision that Creatine will remain in North America this year.

It is hoped that Nevele R may have frozen semen available this season, and that all going well he will return to New Zealand in the 2023 breeding season.

Nevele R’s normal free return policy will apply to mares served by Creatine in 2021.

Creatine is a coming off a fantastic 2021 North American season in which his first crop son Jujubee was crowned the US Trotter of the Year and became the first 3-year-old trotting colt in history to record multiple sub 1:50 wins.

Likewise, he has made a strong start to his Southern Hemisphere siring career with three Group 1 performers to date, including the Northern Derby place-getter Hot To Trot, and is currently second on the New Zealand 3YO Trotting Sires Premiership, behind only Love You.

So whilst we are disappointed that he will not be standing at Nevele R this season, we’re looking forward to watching how his progeny progress and will advise breeders regarding frozen semen closer to the beginning of the breeding season.
