The smart A Rocknroll Dance 3-year-old Keayang Jackie notched up her first stakes race victory with an easy win in the Group 3 Cinderella Stakes for Fillies and Mares at Tabcorp Park, Melton on Saturday evening.

In what amounted to little more than a training run for the promising Marg Lee filly, Keayang Jackie sat three back in the running line before moving up to sit outside the leader in the back straight. Drawing clear before the home turn, she quickly put a couple of lengths on her older rivals, crossing the line 5.9m clear of the second placed Madam Annie and rating 1:53.8 for the 1,720m feature.

The win was Keayang Jackie’s eighth of the season and her ninth overall, taking her lifetime earnings to $86,520.

Bred by the John Gibson Family Trust and raced by the Levarg Racing Group, Keayang Jackie is out of the winning Christian Cullen mare Christian Party, a daughter of the multiple Group 1 winner and NZ 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year, Party Party.

Keayang Jackie is her sire A Rocknroll Dance’s ninth Australian stakes race winner for the 2019/20 season, with the stallion enjoying a stellar season to date across the Tasman with 112 individual winners and progeny earnings of over $2.5 million.
