The Darryn Simpson trained Show No Fear was a decisive front running winner of the inaugural Listed 2YO Trotting Fillies Classique at Ashburton Raceway on Thursday afternoon.

The daughter of Father Patrick blazed to the front off the gate and was never headed, crossing the line two lengths clear of her nearest rival.

Placed in the Group 3 NZ 2YO Trotting Stakes behind the unbeaten Father Patrick filly High Energy back in May, Have No Fear has now won two races and banked just under $20,000 in stakes earnings.

Bred by Michelle Baird, she is the first foal from the unraced Crazed mare Strike Fear, a half-sister to the Group 1 winning Father Patrick gelding Have No Fear.

Father Patrick currently leads the NZ 2YO Trotting Sires Premiership over fellow Nevele R stallion Creatine.
