Former US 2YO and 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year Father Patrick has kicked off his stud career in sensational style, siring all four winners of the New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for 2YO Trotters at The Meadowlands on June 29.

The Marcus Melander trained Greenshoe, already the joint fastest 2-year-old this year after qualifiers, couldn't have been more impressive in the first of the colts and geldings' $20,000 divisions. After losing ten lengths at the start with an early break, Greenshoe put in a huge third quarter move to sweep to the lead and score by a length and a half from fellow Father Patrick colt Lucius Vorenus.

A $330,000 Lexington Select purchase, Greenshoe (pictured) is out of the former multiple world champion Donato Hanover filly Designed To Be.

The Jimmy Takter trained Hudson River took out the second of the boys divisions, prevailing in a tight finish in an impressive 1:55.4 on debut.

The regally bred colt is out of the former US and Canadian Trotting 3YO Filly of the Year, LanternĀ  Kronos (by Viking Kronos) and is a half brother to the million dollar earning 3-year-old, The Bank.

In the first of the fillies divisions, the Julie Miller trained Special Honor romped home by three and a half lengths in a comfortable 1:57.2 victory.

Special Honour is the second foal out of Honor Thy Daughter, a stakes race winning Donato Hanover daughter of the 2008 US 2YO Trotting Filly of the Year Honorable Daughter.

In a photo finish in the second of the fillies divisions, the Jimmy Takter trained Whispering Oaks nabbed French Cafe on the line in a sizzling 1:55.8 - the fastest time recorded by a 2YO Trotting Filly so far this year.

The first three fillies home were all sired by Father Patrick.

A $100,000 Lexington Select yearling, Whispering Oaks is out of the Muscles Yankee mare Vintage Oaks.
