Brilliant young North American trotter Greenshoe was in devastating form at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Saturday evening (US time), coasting to an effortless victory in an Earl Beal Jr. Memorial elimination.

Making his move after a fairly slow first half of 57.2, Greenshoe advanced from fourth on the rails to sit outside the pace-making Osterc at the three-quarter pole, before sweeping to the lead and trotting strongly to the line, with no urging whatsoever from driver Brian Sears, to take a three and a quarter length win over the Dexter Cup winner Osterc.

The son of Father Patrick and two-time New Jersey Sire Stake champion has now won five of his seven starts for earnings of $201,723 and remains undefeated in public as a three-year-old.

A $330,000 Lexington Selected purchase, Greenshoe is out of the multiple world champion filly Designed To Be, a $650,000 plus earning daughter of Donato Hanover.
