It was a Father Patrick sired quinella in the $105,000 The Moni Maker for 3-year-old trotting fillies at Harrah’s Hoosier Park on September 25 (US time) with the royally bred Crucial downing the more favoured stablemate Sister Sledge in the Grand Circuit event.

The ever-improving Crucial crossed Hambletonian finalist Sister Sledge to take the lead off the gate and then kept her stablemate at bay throughout to score a quarter length victory in a 1:54 1/5 mile rate.

Out of the world champion Muscle Hill filly Jolene Jolene, Crucial has now won eight races and $484,696 in stakes-money.

Sister Sledge’s second placing saw her surpass $900,000 in earnings.
