It was a Father Patrick sweep in the “Delmonica Hanover” Pennsylvania Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old trotting fillies at The Meadows today, with the unbeaten Sister Sledge extending her winning streak to six and setting a new stakes record of 1:54.2 in the first of the $90,251 splits, and Shishito powering home to take the second in a tight finish.

Sister Sledge led from start to finish in her division with the race proving little more than a training run for the Ron Burke filly, crossing the line, untouched, two and a half lengths clear of her nearest rival.

It was the precocious filly’s sixth win from six starts and took her earnings to $138,562.

A $35,000 Harrisburg purchase, Sister Sledge is out of the $500,000 plus earnings Andover Hall mare Behindclosedoors.

In the second of the divisions the Per Engblom trained Shishito timed her run to perfection, nabbing Sans Defaut in the shadows of the post to score by a head in 1:55.2.

The win was Shishito’s second, having taken out a Kentucky Sire Stakes division earlier in the month, and took her earnings to $88,536.

Bred by Diamond Creek Farms, Shishito was a $50,000 purchase at last year’s Lexington Select Yearling Sale and is out of the stakes placed Muscles Yankee mare Yoga.
