Father Patrick filly Heaven Hanover flashed home late to take out the $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks at The Meadowlands on Hambletonian Day.

Having started from barrier 10, Heaven Hanover was last through the first half and trailing the leader by more than 11 lengths.

Still second last at the top of the straight Heaven Hanover and reinsman Tim Tetrick stormed home down the middle of the track to reel in the field and win by a neck from Bond.

Heaven Hanoverʻs winning time of 1:50.6 was the third fastest time in the history of the race – behind only the great Manchego and When Dovescry.

Heaven Hanoverʻs record now stands at five wins and seven placings from 14 starts for $429,731 in stakes earnings.

A $180,000 purchase at the 2021 Lexington Select Yearling Sale, Heaven Hanover is the first foal from the stakes placed Muscle Hill mare Hillarmbro.

Father Patrick is enjoying a strong North American season to date and is in the top four stallions on the all age, 3-year-old, and 2-year-old trotting sires tables.
