Exciting first season sire Father Patrick once again dominated the latest round of "Breakfast with the Babies" at The Meadowlands, with his progeny winning five out of the seven trotting qualifying races for 2-year-olds on June 16 (US time).

The Jimmy Takter trained filly Whispering Oaks made it two qualifying wins from two starts to date in the first of the day's heats, scoring by an impressive seven and a half lengths in a time of 1:57.6.

The fillies Devilish Delight and Special Honour were then comfortable winners of their heats in 1:58 and 1:58.2 respectively, before the Julie Miller trained French Cafe, an impressive winner from last weekend, just missed out by a head in making it a clean sweep for the daughters of Father Patrick in the fourth of the day's races.

The only two colts by Father Patrick entered were also both winners in their respective heats, Hudson River in 1:58.4 and last weekend's stunning 1:55 performer Greenshoe in 1:56.2 over fellow star triallist Don't Let'em.

Of interest to breeders is the fact that the majority of Father Patrick's qualifying winners to date are out of daughters of stallions that descend from the great trotting broodmare Amour Angus, who is a full sister to Father Patrick's grand-dam Canne Angus.

Down-under this can be replicated with mares by Majestic Son, Angus Hall, The Pres, Quite Easy and Monkey Bones.

He is also crossing well with Valley Victory line mares - so daughters of Muscles Yankee, Lindy Lane, Muscle Hill and Muscle Mass also look to be a good match for Father Patrick.
