Andover Hall is on the board in style as a sire down-under, with the Ellen Tormey trained and driven Quick Andover a stunning winner by 25m at Maryborough on Thursday.

The only horse off the second line in the Seelite Windows and Doors 2YO Trot (2,190m), Quick Andover bided his time at the back of the field before working forward into the one-one position with just under a lap to go. When the parked Weshouldbesolucky made a play for the lead in the back straight, Quick Andover simply pulled out and sailed on by, very quickly gapping the field and cruising to an untouched 25m length win over Weshouldbesolucky, with the Andover Hall filly Chu Chits filling third spot. (Watch finish of race.)

A home-bred, Quick Andover was bred and is raced by J B Tormey, K R Clark and I R Patterson. He is out of the seven-win Wagon Apollo mare Miss Impromptu, who is a half sister to the former Group 1 Vicbred Super Series 3YO Trot winner Mister Castleton.
