Creatine filly Shes Ruby Roo timed her run to perfection to win the $75,000 Group 1 Victoria Trotters Oaks at Melton on Saturday night, nabbing the multiple Oaks and Derby winner Rockinwithattitude on the line for the second weekend in a row.

Aided by a superb drive from Greg Sugars, Shes Ruby Roo made light work of her potentially tricky inside second row draw, getting off the pegs within the first 200m and moving up to sit parked before gaining cover from Shez Bella when she came round with 1200m to run.

Looming up three-wide rounding the home turn, Shes Ruby Roo displayed a terrific turn of foot to reel in Rockinwithattitude within a few strides and score by a half neck, with a further 7.9m back to the third placed horse, the Father Patrick filly Aldebaran Miley.

The winner of the Group 2 Need For Speed Princess Final last weekend, Shes Ruby Roo has now won six races and $111,736 in stakes.

Bred by Benstud Standardbreds, she is out of the Down Under Muscles mare Princessa Ruth, a half-sister to the two-time Group 1 winning filly Princess Phoenix.

Creatine is currently third on both the New Zealand and Australian 3YO Trotting Sires Premierships.
