The Chris Ryder trained Handlelikeaporsche was a stunning winner of a Bluegrass Stakes division for 2-year-old colts and geldings at The Red Mile, Kentucky on September 30, clearing out to score by more than eight lengths.

The son of Lazarus was caught wide early before pressing on to the lead through the second quarter.

Unchallenged and travelling well, Handlelikeaporsche opened up an ever increasing lead in the back stretch, drawing away untouched in the straight to win by eight and a quarter lengths in a career best time of 1:50 and 2/5ths.

It was the colt’s second win, with him having also finished runner-up to fellow Lazarus colt Voukefalas in both the New Jersey Sires Stakes Championship Final and the New Jersey Classic this season.

The win boosted his stakes earnings to $179,000.

A $100,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale purchase, Handlelikeaporsche is out of the American Ideal mare The Signature, a winning half-sister to the 2013 Little Brown Jug winner Vegas Vacation.
