The Muscle Mass filly Supergirl Riley was an upset winner of the $180,000 Zweig Memorial for 3-year-old trotting fillies at Vernon Downs on August 17, downing the reigning world champion filly Plunge Blue Chip.

Despite Plunge Blue Chip getting everything her own way out in front, the Erv Miller trained Supergirl Riley was able to time her run home to perfection, flying down the middle of the track to nab Plunge Blue Chip and score by three-quarters of a length in a career best time of 1:54.6.

The first two runners home were both by Muscle Mass, who is enjoying an outstanding run of results this year in the States, with the top 3-year-old colt Six Pack also by the stallion.

A multiple New York Sire Stakes division winner, Supergirl Riley is the winner of six races and $260,410 in stakes to date.

She is out of the stakes race winning Cantab Hall mare Crown Laurel and is a full sister to the multiple Ontario Sire Stakes Gold division winner Muscle Hustle.
