Muscle Mass filly takes out Matron Stakes

The Ake Svanstedt trained Plunge Blue Chip was an effortless winner of the $173,000 Matron Stakes for 2-Year-Old Trotting Fillies at Dover Downs on November 9.
The well-performed Muscle Mass filly strode to the lead from barrier eight and never looked in any danger of losing, trotting clear in the straight to score by two lengths from Perfect Summer K in a time of 1:55.8.
It was the filly's seventh win from eight starts in 2017, taking her career earnings to $194,833.
A $42,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale purchase, Plunge Blue Chip is the second foal of the unraced Donato Hanover mare Dunk The Donato, a daughter of a half sister to the $4,000,000 earner Mr Muscleman.
