The 2-year-old Muscle Mass filly Dashing Muscle picked up the biggest win of her career with an all the way win in the $250,000 Ontario Sires Stakes (ONSS) Gold Super Final for juvenile trotting fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The Chantal Mitchell trained filly strode to the lead off the gate, trotted flawlessly throughout and dug deep in the home stretch to hold out the late challenger Up And Ready to win by a nose in a career best time of 1:56 1/5. Watch replay.

Dashing Muscle has now won three of her seven starts and finished runner-up in a further two for stakes earnings of $224,164.

Purchased for $30,000 at last year’s London Selected Ontario Yearling Sale, Dashing Muscle is the first foal of the unraced Donato Hanover mare Delmonica and is from the maternal family of the multiple stakes winning filly Armbro Temple and the two-time Dan Patch Award winning mare Delmegan.

Muscle Mass went close to completing the 2-year-old ONSS Gold Super Finals double with his sons Macho Martini and Full Of Muscles finishing second and third respectively in the Colts and Geldings Final.

Muscle Mass is enjoying another terrific season in North America and is currently third on the 2YO Trotting Sires Premiership with progeny earnings in 2020 of almost $1.7 million.
