Muscle Mass mare takes out Joie De Vie Mares Trot
Millionaire trotting mare Plunge Blue Chip was an impressive winner of the $133,000 Joie De Vie Open Mares Trotting Stakes at Tioga Downs today.
The 5-year-daughter of Muscle Mass stalked the short priced favourite, superstar mare Manchego, through the first three-quarters before collaring her at the top of the straight and trotting strongly to the line to win by a length and a quarter in 1:51.6 on the five-eighths of a mile track.
It was Plunge Blue Chip’s 21st lifetime win, taking her overall record to a stellar 21 wins and 17 placings from 44 starts for career earnings of $1,388,475.
