It was a Muscle Mass sired quinella in the Group 3 Greenlane Trotting Cup (2,700m) at Alexandra Park on Friday evening, with the Michelle Wallis and Bernie Hackett trained National Trot winner Massive Metro downing a game Heavyweight Hero.

The national record holder at the trip, Massive Metro settled mid field early in the running off his 15m handicap, whilst former Harness Jewels runner-up Heavyweight Hero set the pace up front.

Moving to the one-one spot with a lap to go, Massive Metro set off after the leader, whom had a three-length break on the field, approaching the home turn, reeling Heavyweight Hero in in the closing stages to score by three-quarters of a length. Watch a replay here.

The win was Massive Metro's ninth overall, taking his earnings to $157,016.

Massive Metro (pictured winning the National Trot) is out of the former Group 1 National Trot winner Paris Metro, an eight-win, $120,000 earning daughter of Safely Kept.

Massive Metro's win completed a Muscle Mass sweep of the trotting features at Alexandra Park in the past week with the 5-year-old mare Bonnie Highlander a dominant winner of the Group 3 Northern Breeders Trotting Stakes the previous Friday.
