Naked Ambition claims Breeders Crown Graduate Trot

22 November 2021

Naked Ambition, by Andover Hall, broke through for her maiden stakes win with an impressive performance in the Group 3 Breeders Crown Graduate Trot at Tabcorp Park Melton on Friday evening.

The Dylan Stratford trained mare endured a tough trip early on but still proved too good for her rivals.

Caught three wide early, Naked Ambition raced without cover for the first lap before race favourite Cuchulainn moved up to sit parked at the bell, giving her the one-one to launch from.

And launch she did, sprinting home strongly in the straight to score a decisive two and a half length win over Cuchulainn.

The winner of five races, Naked Ambition was bred by Gerard Moloney and is out of the Group race placed S J’s Photo mare Starcus, making her a half sister to the talented square-gaiters War Dan Destroyer and Zhenya.
